Description:
Concentrate for the disinfectant cleaning of medical and dental instruments, including high-speed rotary and endoscopic instruments.
EC 55 is an alkaline, aldehyde- and phenol-free concentrate, suitable for use in immersion baths with or without ultrasound.
For general and surgical medical instruments, as well as specifically for rotating dental instruments (drills, burs, polishers, root canal instruments). Suitable for stainless steel, steel and carbide – including diamond-tipped, plastic and ceramic. Removes blood, proteins, saliva, and tissue and bone residues. Not suitable for aluminium and light metal alloys!
VAH-certified, complies with RKI guidelines.

Dosage and exposure time for disinfection:
Effectiveness proven by expert reports in an immersion bath at room temperature in a 2% aqueous solution after 15 minutes: fungicidal, bactericidal (including TB); virucidal (limited by the RKI to enveloped viruses, i.e. applicable to HCV, HIV, HBV, coronaviruses). 5-minute contact time: fungicidal, virucidal (limited according to RKI), bactericidal (excluding TBC).
Use for cleaning:
Temperature: 20–70 °C, fresh blood and protein residues below 42 °C.
Rinse under running water after disinfection as well as after cleaning.
The shelf life of the working solution is 8 days.
